Loving God - Loving our Community
These are small groups of people who meet in one another’s homes for any or all of friendship, prayer, Bible study, socialising and mutual support. The groups are very varied but share the same purpose - to grow together in Christ, to deepen out faith, to develop our discipleship. This is where we can find friendship and that sense of belonging that can be elusive in the wider church context. Our fellowship groups tend to be gatherings of up to about a dozen people. Typically they will meet every two weeks, and will study the Bible together or discuss a topic of mutual interest. They will pray for one another and for the wider world. There is no pressure to feel you have to say something or to pray out loud - we want you to be comfortable. Our prayer groups have mostly developed from prayer triplets - three people who agree to meet regularly to pray for one another and / or for specific needs, within the church or in the wider world. Some of our triplets have grown, and the focus of the prayers varies from group to group. If you would like a “no strings” chat about our groups, then please contact Allison Smale This year our theme will be Journeys and groups might like to use the following materials On 16th January we will be looking at "A is for Adoption", so you could use the notes or Krish Kandiah's book "The Greatest Secret" .
